There is not much time to spare for me lately to do any of the things I am fond of doing. With examinations coming up, and on top of that corrections of the Moletai article, and not to mention the lectures I am gonna have on each of the courses. In the high-energy astrophysics I am going to talk about Supermassive black holes during 25min plus 5 minutes for questions. While in the stellar structure course I am going to talk about Cooling of White dwarfs during 12min plus 3 minutes for questions.
I've also sent applications for the next term's courses. I applied for more courses than I'd have time for actually, but that is because I am unsure of which to choose. One of them I am sure of though, and that is the numerical analysis 2 course. The second one I am interested in is the Observational techniques course, but it is at the same time as the numerical analysis so the first period of the next term will probably be very intense. On the second period I was thinking about laboratory physics, but it didn't sound too interesting still.
I will as well take a fundamental course in java programming also. That at least will be interesting, and the course spans over the whole term so it will be nice and easy studying.
But now it has been a long time since I visited home also, and I plan to do so when all the exams and projects are done. Around that time I will hopefully meet up with some old classmates from high school who also study here in Lund. Its really odd that we haven't done so earlier as we've been here for 2 years all of us at least already. Gonna meet my ex-gf in the middle of november also for a coffee, was a long time since I met her also now. More than one year at least. Strange the way time flies.
Well, now I am gonna work some more on the supermassive black holes. It would be nice to at least have some clue of what to say by tomorrow. Good that I have another week on me still to complete it.
Ah well, so long and thanks for the fish

To all my comrades of glory and valor, salute
I am finally able to catch my breath a little after all the recent events. Tasks have followed each other one after another lately, and I thought I was going to be able to take a breather after the Moletai article was submitted. But apart from the exercises we have had from school, our RPG group are finally getting somewhere. Our background stories are more or less done which binds the group together and leads us into our future adventures. I am looking forward to see how Ernja might develop, she already is a marvelous little creature. This weekend we are hopefully going to have our first meeting with the real group, the time for learning and observing is over, and now the real fun starts.
What has mostly bothered me in the past days now has been the PBLs (Problem-based learning), which means we sit in groups and solve a couple questions together and then individually write and submit a report about our solutions and answers. Today I handed in the last one for now, this week there won't be any new ones but they will come next week instead.
Until then I only have to start looking at articles for the coming project we have in our astrophysics course. There we were given a topic and some questions to answer, now we are to start looking for resources to answer these questions and present them on friday, and in the end hold a lecture about the topic for the others in the class. It will be a challenge, but I was given an interesting topic at least, "Supermassive black holes". I will talk about some really heavy stuff, and you're dying to listen to it!
On a last note I have left my big family on the internet. For many years now (with some breaks now and then) I have been playing a internet-based strategy game named "Utopia", and for a couple of years I have played together with a group of people. Now part of us are leaving utopia, some staying with the some newcomers to the group, but some looking around for a new home as well. This group has been a second family to me, and I feel sorry to leave them. But all great things has to come to an end, so I will instead of mourning this be happy about the experience and joy the time has brought me. I will keep in contact with them though so my family has not gone lost anyhow, it will just feel like when you move from home from your real family, it feels empty although they are still there.
But rest assure anyhow, I will use this day to take a big breather, and then get back on the working sadle in the morning. Friday and Sunday are proposed dates for the ALVA trip to the Oxie observatory, and today's forecast says the weather on Friday will be good. We will see how that goes, on thursday I have the visual observation laboratory exercise also and that depends on good weather as well.
Ah well, to make use of my free time and relax.
